Pofuff: Turning Kids' Drawings to Stuffed Toys

(This is an advertorial post)

WHY WE DO IT

Our mission is to encourage children to be more creative. To engage them in adventure and stimulate their imaginations as children should. To find ways to support kids to journey in the creative process.

In this world where our children are inundated with too much information and with entertainment that can limit and box their imaginations, our goal is to give children a good start by supporting a life of playful imagination and creativity.

WHO WE ARE

My husband and I are children still. We never confined ourselves within the walls of the tangible. Everything is an experiment, a chance to indulge in the delight of discovery. Even long haul flights become the perfect environment for us to let our imaginations run wild, and the wee hours of the morning is the perfect time of day to plant crazy ideas and create dreams.

When we had our daughter, Lilly, we were thrilled to have another playmate. We were constantly looking for new ways to engage her in the enchantment of the creative process. We wanted to share the glee and fascination in what to a child's eyes is magic. And what better way to do this than to transform her creative expression to something she can interact with? Where the creatures in her mind become real and her artworks come to life?
And thus, Pofuff was born.

HOW WE DO IT

We have commissioned a team of stay-at-home mums in our home country, the Philippines, who have been trained by the local government in crafts, to assist us in our endeavour. This way, we help them sustain their livelihoods while at the same time making children happy.

This inspires the parents who purchase these toys for their kids, knowing that they are helping another parent in an underprivileged country. In turn, we inspire these mums by sending them photographs of the delighted children holding the toys they have lovingly handcrafted.
