OFW Life: Conversation with Pudra and Mudra

While speaking with my Pudra (father) over the phone, he had asked me if i could buy him a Nike Air Max shoes.

Pudra: Bilhan mo nga ako ng bagong running shoes (can you buy me a new running shoes?)

Tondo Girl: Sure, ano bet mo? (sure, what do you like) naka sale ang Reebok keri na ba yun? (Reebok is currently on sale, you like it?)

Pudra: Hinde ang gusto ko Nike Air Max yung pula (Nooooo, what I want is a Nike Air Max in Red)

Tondo Girl: Wow sosyalllll!! (Extravagant)

That's my Pudra!

After speaking with my Pudra, here comes my Mudrakels (mother).

Tondo Girl: You still look young! Fresssshhhh!!! What's your secret?

Mudrakels: Naku wala na nga akong pamahid sa mukha ayaw na ako bilhan ng ate mo! Mahal daw! (Huh, i don't have my face cream anymore, your sister doesn't want to buy it for me because it's pricey).

(She likes using these creams and toner with kojic and gluta, see below example)

Tondo Girl: Bilhan kita ng Oil of Olay ( I'll buy you Oil of Olay).

Mudrakels: Ayoko nun, di ako hiyang dun (I don't like that, it doesn't suit my skin).

Tondo Girl: Awarddddd!!!

By the way my Pudra is 68 years old and my Mudrakels is 70 years old.
